Most online trainers are clueless.
They're making it up as they go, thinking it'll be easy.
It's not easy.
To-date, I've helped over 65,000 online trainers win.
There are a few simple steps to getting clients and ensuring their success.
These are those steps ...
“There’s so many online trainers, why would someone want to work with me?”
Easy. Because you’re not those other trainers.
You’re you.
That gives you an advantage over other trainers—even “fitness influencers” with thousands of online followers.
(Next: The big secret...)
The big secret to selling online training is to be the right person for a few people.
All it takes is 30 clients paying you $200 a month to make $72,000 a year.
You don’t need 10,000+ Instagram followers.
So, stop trying to win the internet.
You need 30 clients.
Step 1: Go super narrow with your messaging.
Yes, you’ll be cutting off some potential clients. But you'll be the obvious choice for others.
Think about it this way: If you needed surgery for a hernia, would you prefer a general surgeon or a hernia specialist?
Step 2: Create a single template.
Develop one stellar program for your market and individualize it as needed.
Aspects of a template that likely won’t change: Sets, reps, rest, tempo, order, and workout split.
Aspects that might change: Exercise selection, grips, stance.
With a narrow market and single template, you’ve become focused.
What content to create becomes more clear.
Ensuring your client's success becomes easier.
The result is that you’ll be more efficient with your time and do a better job.
(This is fun. Let’s keep going!)
Step 3: Compile Your Video library.
You don't have to film your own videos.
Client's don't care. I promise.
It's your own barriers holding you back here. Get started even if it's not ideal. Then, over time, make it better.
Don't let perfect get in the way of progress.
Step 4: Register for professional software.
But don't spend money before making it.
To help, I developed free online training software for you to use at QuickCoach.Fit.
Software ensures that you're professional even with your first few clients.
(Next up, pricing!)
Step 5: Pricing
There’s no right or wrong here.
Start with basic 1-on-1 online training. Then, over time, progress to selling transformation packages.
Charge $100-$500 per month.
With every client you get, push up the price $25-$50 as you gain confidence.
Final Step: Your Application
You don’t need a website. Use A Google Form.
Include: Name, age, gender, email, injury / training history, limitations, and why they want to train with you specifically.
Then, take payment.
Keep it simple. PayPal is fine.
Hope this helps :)
