Are your clothes poisoning you?
Here are the 10 healthiest fabrics to wear
A thread ๐Ÿงต
Most clothing today is made of plastic.
It fills up landfills and spews microplastics everywhere, including into your body, where they cause hormone dysregulation, DNA damage, and infertility

tl;dr: plastic is trash, whether marketed as "sustainable" or not.
Fortunately, there are natural clothing materials that we've been using for 1000s of years that don't make your balls shrink.
They are:
1. Cotton
The traditional material for jeans, dress shirts, and wet t-shirt contests
Many cotton products, even ones that are "organic", are adulterated with elastane, so be careful
This brand has some of the best quality t-shirts out there:

2. Wool
This comes from the hairs of sheep, goats, or alpacas, and it is one of the most versatile fabrics-- I have both fancy suits and skiing base layers made of wool
Vintage shops are a good option, as are Icebreaker NZ, Paka, and Naked Cashmere
3. Linen
The oldest and most traditional plant-fabric of Europe
It's durable, breatheable, flowy, and is the traditional fabric of the citizens of Tan Land
All my favorite linen pieces are from Etsy and handmade by eastern europeans
4. Silk
Light, flowy, and soft, silk has always been a luxurious fabric, prized by asian royalty, gianni versace, and girls at cocktail parties
Best for hawaiian shirts and dresses
Find it at vintage shops, etsy, or silk maison:

5. Leather
Likely the second oldest fabric known to man (after fur). It goes without saying, but make sure it's real leather
It can last forever, so vintage shops are a great option. Etsy as well. Or, just go to italy.
6. Hemp
Primarily associated with stoners and hippies, hemp is actually insanely versatile
Supposedly the cotton industry made weed illegal in order to suppress the threat of hemp
Try Hemp Huggers, Jungmaven, and Outerknown
7-10
The last fabrics are less common, but they are still acceptable. They include
- jute
- fur
- ramie
- abaca
A rule of thumb: avoid fabric containing the prefix "poly" or suffixed with a "tm" symbol
