If you don’t protect and guard your energy and mental health, they’ll get zapped from you.
This doesn’t happen overnight, but it happens bit by bit every day.
Here are some things to practice that will help guard and protect these valuable parts of life.

Here are some things to practice that will help guard and protect these valuable parts of life.
1. Take Breaks
I’m not talking about taking a break from work.
I’m talking about taking breaks from social media and the news
Getting off of your phone for a few hours every day helps calm your mind
Some try to do breaks a few times a year
You should be doing them every day

2hrs a day is 730 hrs and 30 days a year.
Think about that, you’ll go an entire month without news or social media.
How would that impact your mental health and energy?
Don’t worry, the same information will still be there after 2hrs so you won’t miss anything.

2. Cleanse Your Energy
This might sound odd, but it works, stick with me.
Out loud say a lie that you’re believing and then say the truth.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I am good enough.”
“I don’t deserve a spouse.”
“I deserve the best spouse.”
And on and on it goes.

And on and on it goes.
This will begin to purge your mind of wrong thinking so that you can walk in the truth.
Nothing gives you energy like denouncing lies and living in the truth.

3. Meditation
At some point in those 2hrs, you could meditate.
Or you can have it part of your morning or evening routine.

One of my favorite quotes from @naval is…
“Life hack: When in bed, meditate. Either you will have a deep meditation, or fall asleep. Victory either way."

@naval Honestly, this is the best way to go to sleep, it’s not just an awesome Tweet.
At the end of your day get in bed, and then just let your thoughts roam free.

@naval Your fears, anxiety, all of it, let it roam as you meditate.
Release those emotions, don’t keep them bundled inside you.
Imagine how much better you’ll feel releasing your emotions and processing your thoughts every night.

@naval 4. Journaling
Too many people overcomplicate journaling.
There are so many types of journaling to choose from…
Art Journaling
Bullet Journaling
Visual Journaling
Gratitude Journaling
Reflective Journaling
Stream of Consciousness Journaling

@naval I want to make it easy on you.
When you wake up, open a notebook and journal your thoughts.
You’ll likely have some from the meditation you did before you fell asleep.

@naval If you, just brain dumb and journal what’s on your mind.
Write it all down and as you write feel yourself release those emotions.
Releasing these emotions will help to guard your mental health and energy.

@naval Oddly enough, releasing the emotions gives you energy.
Expressing your thoughts protects your mind.
The next day turn the page and do it again.
You’ll notice patterns and truly begin to learn about yourself.
