I’ve spoken to 558 men in the last 2 years…
The #1 thing they have in common?
They constantly feel tired.
Here are my 7 best tips for naturally increasing your energy so you have more drive, focus and zest for life.
THREAD //
Being constantly tired is the bane of any man’s life.
You have no energy to work on a business…
No energy to play with your kids…
No energy to exercise…
It’s truly a curse.
But is fixable if you are prepared to taker responsibility and put in some work.
It's your fault.
1. Sleep
Sleep is far more important than you realise.
And the chance that you’re not getting enough is almost 100%.
So before you pick up more coffee…
Or the latest nootropic…
I suggest you focus on saving your money by getting your sleep dialed in.
Start with 4 these simple steps:
- Turn off all electronics 1h before bed
- Sleep & wake up @ the same time every day
- Avoid caffeine after midday
- Get blackout blinds
Try that for a week or 2 and feel your energy skyrocket.
2. Carb timing
When you eat carbs, your body converts them into glucose which spikes your blood sugar…
This is responsible for the high-energy/crash cycle you’re so used to.
To have more stable energy throughout the day…
Save your carbs for the evening/after workouts.
It might be a little difficult at first while your body adjusts.
But after a few days, you’ll be wondering how you ever ate carbs in the morning.
You’ll have more energy.
You'll feel sharper.
More focus.
And overall better cognition.
3. No coffee in the first hour of the day
Coffee is great…
It tastes fucking incredible and has a ton of health benefits.
But you shouldn’t drink it as soon as you wake up.
Instead slam a pint of water and get some fresh air to start your day.
Your body spikes cortisol (stress hormone) first thing in the morning to wake you up…
And drinking caffeine whilst cortisol is high causes the body to produce MORE cortisol.
More cortisol = less energy & focus.
So, wait 1h before having your coffee.
Note: Make sure you drink actual coffee
Not a sugar laden calorie bomb
4. Take *some* supplements
Our food today isn’t what it once was
Soils are devoid of nutrients, fruit and veg are modified and meat is raised on corn and steroids
Some supplements can help improve the way you and look feel assuming you are also eating, training & sleeping well
You’re more than likely deficient in B-vitamins, so either yam down some liver or pick up a B-complex supplement.
B-vitamins support your body's cellular functions like turning food into ENERGY.
Also, vitamin D3.
If you don’t get regular sun, pick up a D3 supplement.
5. Fix your gut
If your gut is fucked up you’re literally leaking energy (google “leaky gut”).
Too complex to go into detail here but a couple things you can do to help are:
- Regular extended fasting (18-36 hours)
- Eat probiotics daily
6. Fast for the first 4-6 hours
Black coffee, fine
But no food
I promise you this is a game-changer
Not only will this help your gut, but you’ll have more energy as you’re not digesting any food
(I don’t always do this, but when I do I notice a big difference.)
7. More exercise
The iron law:
To have more energy you must spend more energy.
Here’s what most don’t understand…
Exercising doesn’t take your energy, it gives you more.
So, do more exercise.
More workouts, more walks, more sex.
Whatever it is…
Do more.
These are the 7 actions that have given me and my clients the highest ROI in terms of more energy.
So, if you constantly feel tired…
And want to start getting shit done.
I recommend you start small.
Implement one or two things.
And do them consistently.
Then add a couple more…
Then a couple more…
Until you’ve mastered every single one and the BURNING FIRE inside you is reignited.
Understand that as a man under 50 you should bolt awake every morning ready to attack the day.
If that’s not the case, you’ve got work to do.
I use small, high-leverage changes like this with my 1-on-1 clients to help them start making real progress without changing their whole lifestyle.
It’s why Aaron lost 20lbs in 12 weeks while working a high-pressure job and taking care of his family:
Gents, if you can relate to being the guy who is constantly low energy and you want to make some serious changes over the next 60 days, I’m looking to launch 3 guys on the path to their dream physique.
DM me “READY” and I’ll give you all the details 💪
