I’m standing in line at the Delta Help Desk and suddenly a woman comes RUNNING to the line and asks to jump ahead of us.
She's about to miss her flight.
We say yes (I'm an arrive-at-the-airport-30-minutes-before-my-flight person) and she rushes to speak with the agent.
Here's what goes down:
1. The woman is late to check-in and the plane was departing in 8 MINUTES
2. The woman was late because she was stuck in traffic. She needs to get on that flight ASAP because she's going to her mom's funeral šŸ’”šŸ’”šŸ’”
So what does the Delta agent do?
The agent SPRINGS INTO ACTION and calls over two other agents.
They found a way to re-book the woman (FOR FREE) via a connecting flight that would get her to her destination in Honolulu just an hour later than her original flight.
THEN, the agents escort the woman to the FRONT of the security line so she could make her new connection.
It was like seeing the president rushed onto Air Force One.
The best part of it all?
Not one person in the line (of regular passengers) complained about the time it took to re-book her. Not one FUCKING PEEP.
