6 major lies you have been told about nutrition.
Lies about nutrition = Big $$ for big food & big pharma

1. Dietary cholesterol is bad for you
Probably the biggest nutrition lie out there.
Big food wants you to avoid eggs, red meat & dairy.
So you eat far more profitable cereals, & fake meats.
Big pharma want you to believe cholesterol is a killer, to sell you medication.
Both industries have made billions of this lie & at the expense of your health!
There's a reason most lean, muscular & healthy guys eat plenty of red meat, eggs & seafood.
Cholesterol is vital for good health including testosterone production
So don't fear it!
2. Seed/ Vegetable oils are healthy
As part of the attacks on cholesterol & animal fats.
Seed/ veg oils have been promoted as the "healthy" alternative.
However this couldn't be further from the truth.
The reality is veg/ seed oils are bad for you but very profitable!
The most common seed/ veg oils:
Corn
Canola
Soybean
Safflower
Rapeseed
Sunflower
Cottonseed
These are extremely cheap to produce.
So big food love to promote them & add them to the foods they manufacture.
The issue is they are very unhealthy so big pharma love them as well!
Seed oils are extremely high in omega 6, & manufactured in factories mixed with chemicals making them very inflammatory.
As a result they're linked to health issues:
IBS
Low T
Obesity
Infertility
Dementia
Depression
T2 Diabetes
Heart disease
So great for selling medication!
3. Dietary fat makes you fat
This is 100% incorrect!
Consuming more calories than you burn makes you fat.
Everyone is different but I personally operate best on a diet that is pretty high in fat.
As long as you aren't in calorie excess eating fat CAN'T make you fat!
4. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day
This has been pushed by Kelloggs (check out the origin of Kellogs in the pic) & other cereal makers.
No meal is more important than any other they just pushed the message to sell you more cereal boxes!
If you are going to eat breakfast cereal is pretty much the worse thing to eat!
❌Spikes insulin
❌Anti nutrients
❌Sugar crashes
❌Non-satiating
❌Minimal nutrition
If you are going to eat cereal.
I suggest eggs or something high in protein so you are left satiated.
5. Carbs make you fat
The same way fat doesn't make you fat, carbs don't either!
Only a calorie excess can mean you may gain fat.
What I will say is it's very easy to go in to calorie excess when you eat los of highly processed carbs!
6. High protein consumption is toxic
There are rumors a high protein diet can damage your kidneys & cause osteoporosis.
This is utter nonsense!
You should ideally aiming for about 1 gram of protein to 1lbs of body weight.
There is a reason every guy in great shape eats a high amount of protein:
- Helps you lose fat
- Helps you feel fuller
- Promotes better bone health
- Helps you burn more calories
- Helps you gain more muscle mass
Protein serves is needed for lots of functions in the body!
