8 ways to naturally boost your testosterone:
We're in a pandemic of low testosterone.
Testosterone levels are falling with no signs of stopping.
Low testosterone causes:
• Hair loss
• Man boobs
• Body fat gain
• Muscle atrophy
• Reduced reproductive health
Here are 8 ways you can naturally boost your testosterone:
1) Lifting weights
Your body responds to the demands you place on it.
Push yourself in the gym to raise your testosterone production.
Make sure you're doing a program based on progressive overload.
Always try to push yourself a little further each time you step in the gym.
2) Reducing stress
Your system produces cortisol when you're stressed.
Cortisol and testosterone are both made from cholesterol.
This means higher cortisol (stress) will lower testosterone.
So what can you do?
Positive thinking can reduce cortisol (your stress hormone).
That’s not woo-woo bullshit. It’s been researched.
Lower cortisol frees resources for testosterone production.
Reduce your stress with:
• Gratitude
• Time in nature
• Doing things with quality people
3) Dropping body fat
Increased adipose tissue increases levels of an enzyme called aromatase.
Aromatase converts testosterone into estrogen.
Excess body fat means you have a lot of aromatization happening in your body.
Aim to reach 15% body fat or so.
4) Supplementation
I don't mean the bullshit "testosterone boosters" on Amazon.
I mean natural supplements like:
• Zinc
• Shilajit
• Vitamin D
• Magnesium
• Tongkat Ali
Add one at a time to see how your body reacts to them.
5) Getting more sleep
Sleeping less than 5 hours per night lowers testosterone levels by about 15%.
This is the same testosterone reduction as being a 10-15 year older man.
Make it a priority to get more sleep each night.
How?
Start sleeping better tonight by:
• Cooling your bedroom to around 68°F
• Turning off screens 2-3 hours before bed
• Doing light yoga, stretching, or meditation
• Taking magnesium, glycine, and/or l-theanine
Your sleep quality and quantity will improve.
6) Getting more sunlight
Studies show sunlight exposure boosts testosterone.
Sunlight also trains your sleep/wake cycle so you:
• Wake up at a regular time
• Fall asleep easier at night
• Have consistent energy
Your skin also produces Vitamin D when exposed to sunlight.
7) Improving your diet
Specific foods don't boost testosterone.
Specific micronutrients do.
Zinc is one of the most important.
Get more zinc by eating:
• Eggs
• Cheese
• Legumes
• Red meat
• Shellfish (oysters)
Eat some of these every single day.
8) Avoiding testosterone killers
Foods to minimize:
• Soy
• Alcohol
• Vegetable oil
• Processed foods
Chemicals to avoid:
• PFAS
• Parabens
• Phthalates
• Bisphenol-A (BPA)
Those chemicals are mainly in plastics and cosmetics.
