Here's what i'm eating when i want to:
A)Not spend time on cooking and cleaning
and
B)Cover all of my vitamin and mineral needs
(in theory).
Thread ๐Ÿงต
Food 1: Pasture raised raw egg yolks
*If dogs don't eat egg whites, neither should you*
Egg yolks are an excellent source of bioavailable protein, choline, selenium, vitamin A, vitamin K, B vitamins, saturated fats and cholesterol.
I consume 3-4 raw egg yolks a day.
Food number 2: Raw dairy
Raw dairy are an excellent source of pro testosterone nutrients such as zinc, vitamin A, CLA and even iron binders such as lactoferrin.
Raw dairy products are an excellent source of bioavailable calcium, vitamin K2 and glutamine as well.
Food number 3: Organic organ meat tartare.
Organ meats are the most nutrient dense foods on the planet and you should always invest in them first.
100 grams of organic/grass fed liver will provide way more nutrients than 100gr of organic fruit.
Itโ€™s not even comparable.
They obviously both have their place in a proper diet though*
Organ meats are an excellent source of B vitamins such as folate, biotin, B12 and B6, zinc, selenium, iron, choline, vitamin A, copper, vitamin K2, coenzyme Q10 and zinc.
Food number 4: Raw organic oysters
Oysters and shellfish are some of the best sources for selenium and zinc.
They have an incredible amino acid balance and greatly help the production of sex hormones D-Aspartic-Acid and N-Methyl-D-Aspartate which decrease with cooking.
Food number 5: Extra virgin Ccoconut oil, red palm oil and EVOO
We need some plant fats.
Caprylic acid in coconut oil for example has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties and can speed up the T4 to T3 conversion.
R.P.O is great for vitamin E.
Food number 6: Fresh pomegranate juice (no pulp)
Pomegranate juice is a health elixir.
One study in people with diabetes showed that 1 cup of pomegranate juice lowered CRP and interleukin-6 ( inflammatory markers that cancer patients have elevated) by 30-32%.
Testosterone wise, a study showed a 24% increase in saliva testosterone in just 14 days of consuming pomegranates.
Pomegranate juice has also been shown to increase the 1rp of olympic athletes.
The juice part is important since pomegranates contain one of the highest levels
of phytoestrogens.
Drinking only the juice should help you avoid these though, as it is typically the flesh and seeds which contain phytoestrogen.
I recommend pomegranate juice pre or post lift and when sunbathing.
Food number 7: Local raw honey and glyphosate free bee pollen
Raw honey is a great enzyme, mineral and trace mineral source.
Only four tablespoons contain the daily requirements of many of them such as potassium and even boron.
Food number 8: Carrot, blackseed oil, avocado, raw liver and onion salad
Onions are an excellent source of B6, allicin and quercetin and can increase testosterone levels by over 100% in 4 weeks.
Blackseed oil (cold pressed) has too many benefits to be mentioned.
Food number 9: Grass fed/finished red meat
Obviously red meat is a great source of zinc, a lot of B vitamins and selenium.
If you don't know how to make tartare, learn, it literally takes 2 minutes and it's considered fancy "cooking:.
Food number 10: Bone marrow and salt
Bone marrow is a great source of collagen, aminos, minerals, trace minerals and fat soluble vitamins.
Salt will greatly support adrenals, thyroid, reduce stress and thus improve testosterone.
Food number 11: Fruit bowl (usually organic green apples, berries, black grapes and watermelon if they are in season and papayas or mangos) with maple syrup
Fruits are high in vitamins, antioxidants and minerals but most importantly, fruits are high fructose.
Combine that with the minerals from maple syrup and you're golden.
Food number 12: Coconut water
Very basic electrolyte and mineral source.
Food number 13: Ginger and homemade ginger tea
A great anti-inflammatory, great anti-serotonin, LH, FSH and testosterone supportive root
that can also inhibit 5 lipoxygenase associated with prostate cancer.
Ginger is also neuro-protective since it increases NGF (Neuron Growth Factor) in the brain.
"What about "snacks"?"
Raw meat and olives or/and fruit.
That's pretty much it.
