Home alone so a simple lunch it is. This takes about 2-3 minutes to prepare and doesn't require anything more high tech (please no refrigeration) than some charcoal (sun dried horse mackerel lightly grilled). Onion from the garden.
The onion doesn't grow well in winter of course but it will keep if put in a sunny spot. I always leave the root in so one plant will be harvested several times before exhausted. Yes I messed up the fish as I placed it on the dish. Instagram fail.
The drink (nihonshu, sake) just a tiny cup of course, all the way from Niigata Prefecture but at least I bought it from the old lady who runs the liquor store on the corner, about 100m from my place.
The Wrathlings always eagerly await my next liquor store trip because the lady who runs it gives them hard candy as a treat (which I don't because I worry about their teeth but only a maniac would refuse a candy treat once in a while).
