Blanket advice sucks.
"Invest in learning to write. You won't regret it."
Umm...
-What's so special about writing?
-Why should I trust you?
-How would I get started?
Here's how the best writers get ahead of questions and persuade people to take action:
Always answer "Why?" and "How?"
❌ Do this
Because? Who are you anyway?
âś… Do this
âś… Here's why
âś… Here's how
âś… Here's what to do next
Hot damn, I'm ready.
This is logical writing 101, and it's mega persuasive:
Claim→Support→Takeaway
This simple framework packs a punch bc when people evaluate claims, they’re cross-referencing them against:
-Their biases (subconscious or otherwise)
-Owned experiences
-Competitor takes
-Public data
You're fighting against deep-seated perspectives.
But when you logically argue points, readers understand:
-Why you’ve come to your conclusion
-How to do the thing
-What to do next (ideally, that's taking your suggested action)
Logical writing is a trust-building exercise.
It's the bridge from "I don't know" to "Let's go!"
As you write, ask yourself these questions to fill in the blanks:
-Why should they care?
-Can I back this up with data?
-What's the impact of this?
-Who's done this well?
-Who's failed at this (and why?)
-What examples (real or hypothetical) would make this more impactful?
Answering these questions is key because:
Getting ahead of objections, making emotional connections, telling relatable stories, and backing up points with data all *contribute to decision-making*.
Whether that's to change their mindset, consider you down the line, or buy now.
The next time you think about making a statement like:
"Do this thing because it's great!"
Remember logical writing and take it deeper.
I promise you'll see engagement and trust go up.
