How to compliment someone without mentioning their appearance:
We've been conditioned to comment on how people look rather than comment on parts of them that we appreciate or that make them uniquely themselves.
Ex: "you look great, have you lost weight?"
Through complimenting aspects of someone that's deeper that physical appearance, we create more meaningful connections.
You'll notice how people light up when you do this.
How to compliment someone without mentioning their appearance:
1. "I really appreciate how curious you are about new things, it's such a great quality."
2. "It's beautiful to see you interact with your children/family you really shine."
3. "You're very generous with your time and helping other people, I appreciate this about you."
4. "You have a great sense of humor and I always feel good being around you"
5. "You have so many inspiring ideas, I love hearing them"
6. "Your energy makes me feel so calm and relaxed, I appreciate that about you"
7. "Being in your presence just feels good"
8. "I admire the way you see the world"
9. "You're so kind to strangers, that's a beautiful trait"
10. "You always bounce back and have such a resilience about you"
Has anyone ever said something like this to you? Do you remember it? How did it make you feel?
