1. One year ago, today, we were discussing the first baby steps of @brhat_in , I and @Anviksiki Ji. We had just come out of Rashtram and only had a hazy idea of what we were going to do.
2. And yet, look within one year, here we are, with a team of 12 people, having done so many different things in just one year that it feels like many years.
3. For the first time in life, I felt the power of a team. Before that teams that I was in, was in just to serve the emperor, but Brhat could be so different because it was headed by someone like @Anviksiki.
4. The way he sees what people can do and the way he connects them to each other makes us what we are.
5. We took up so many challenges in this past year. The first one was to link Culture to Policy which everyone warned us not to, and yet we were adamant. That how can Culture not be related to Policy? And that is a path we are firmly treading now.
6. We managed to salvage the best of human capital from the Accelerator batch that we taught at Rashtram, and that for me was the greatest reward.
7. We are glad to have been able to give the right form to the vision that was interrupted and bring the sense of sacred back to our lives.
8. To have @akshaystates and @ADropInDSky , some of the brightest young minds that the Hindu movement knows of now, work with us was the greatest trophy that I could ever think of.
9. I think of them as my sons, even though we are hardly that far apart in age and it is such a great feeling to have them with us. There is @vijigishuvritti , a follower and friend on facebook, who is a brilliant mind, who became such a dear brother, also works with us.
10. We wrote a lot. Created a great cache of some foundational texts about this movement and are in the process of doing so more.
11. Our Schools of Thought is a series in which we will chart out the Hindu heart of this movement through history, people and institutions for generations to see.
12. We offered courses ion Brhat Drashta, on some of the greatest savants of the Hindu movement like Shri Ram Swarup Ji and Shri Sita Ram Goel Ji. We offered courses on Hindu Iconography and the response was just too overwhelming.
13. We took people to temples all over Bharatavarsha in Brhat Anveshi tours, giving them the window into our culture by taking them where it happens and it was such an overwhelming experience.
14. The way people would come out of those temples with tears of joy in their eyes, told us that we will keep doing this all our lives.
15. We converted our thoughts about art and life into videos and took some of those fundamental ideas to all of you through @TiwariNivedita's work. And we did it with style and aesthetic value, thanks to Amritanshu (@saamaanyafreaky), @Reenrags Ji and others in my team.
16. We didn't know what was going to happen to us. And we had nothing. No assurance at this time last year of any funding.
17. All we had was this assurance that we need to bring IKS to our kids in many different ways - through stories, essays, and various other mediums; that we need to create demand for Policy by subtly bringing changes in Culture.
18. We proceeded in all those directions and did a lot more. I will convey that to you through a video, but this post triggered all those memories for me.
19. Such a fulfilling year it was for me: we all came together for a very deep dharmic cause, and we had pretty much our faiths and whatever little we knew as our guide, and we ended up being involved with so many wonderful initiatives here.
20. And all that began last year during my friendship with Raghava Ji, and with the conviction that we will do something for dharma, we will do it together, and we will do justice to all involved.
21. Sometimes simple convictions do come true. Such a heady year. And for all the good reasons.
22. We will keep doing this and a lot more. I just need all of you equally together in my journey... our journey.
Jai Shri Rama!
