With everything going on in the world, it's understandable that you may have 1000 things going on in your head.
The problem is however, we remain :
β€’ Distracted
β€’ Exhausted
β€’ Anxious
β€’ Overburdened
β€’ Cluttered
It's hard to take positive steps in this state.
Overthinking things cause us to freeze and ultimately kill any progress/dreams we want to achieve.
Most importantly, it is treatable.
Here's how:
1. Get outside.
Being in nature is proven to have mental and physical benefits.
β€’ Reduced stress
β€’ Increased memory
β€’ Improved mood
β€’ Improved health
Go for walks, or even just sit outside for a few minutes a day.
It’ll work wonders for your body and mind!
2. Get better sleep.
Sleep is key to having a clearer head.
β€’ It sharpens your mind
β€’ Helps with recovery
β€’ It improves your mood
β€’ It increases your energy
3. Turn off your phone more.
As great as technology is, being ultra-connected as we are today consumes so much mental energy.
When you unplug, you open yourself up to:
β€’ More clarity
β€’ Deeper connections with people
β€’ Sharper thinking
β€’ Being more present
4. Do something creative.
When you engage in something creative, it is often soothing and time literally flies by when you're in the zone.
Try these activities:
β€’ Coloring books
β€’ Writing
β€’ Painting
β€’ Cooking
β€’ Learn an instrument
5. Wake up earlier.
Start your day intentionally slower.
Not rushing will leave you less anxious and give you time to:
β€’ Journal
β€’ Read
β€’ Exercise
β€’ Simply have a coffee in peace!
6. Say no more often.
Saying "No" is a modern day super power.
β€’ Free up your time
β€’ Allow yourself space to think
β€’ Understand what's truly important to you
β€’ Boost your self-confidence
7. Practice silence.
What if you could just stop?
Stop the noise, stop rushing, stop trying to keep up. Just stilness.
Try for 30 minutes a day:
β€’ No news
β€’ No podcasts
β€’ No music
β€’ No noise
It will greatly help calm your mind.
