SelfHealing allows us to take our healing into our own hands.
The 10 Parts of SelfHealing:
1. Awareness of the inner child: our inner child contains the joyful, spontaneous parts of ourselves. It also contains the wounded parts of us that show up in our adult relationships.
2. Emotional regulation: the practice of widening our window of tolerance of the nervous system, so that we can respond to life in new ways.
3. Mind-gut awareness: awareness of the mind-gut connection and how nutrition plays a role in our mood and overall emotional wellness.
4. Creativity/play: creating unstructured time to play, create, write, dance, or anything else that brings enjoyment for no specific outcome.
5. Community support: chosen relationships that bring us belonging and safe connections and meet our emotional needs. This can also include therapists who can help us process and work through our past.
6. Boundaries: setting clear boundaries with ourselves and others around our time, energy, physical space, and emotional state.
7. Sleep hygiene: the practice of setting up a bedroom environment and daily routine that prioritizes the healing repair of sleep.
8. Movement: body movement as a tool to return to body (to leave the thinking mind.)
9. Ego work: the practice of witnessing and befriending our ego as a protection mechanism.

10. Connection to nature: intentionally getting the sun on our skin, our feet on the earth, and the quiet of nature regulates our nervous system and helps ground us.
Our bodies are wise and designed to self heal. The study of epigenetics shows us our environment impacts how our genes are expressed. By being an active participant in our healing, we can truly transform.
