this guy has a post doc in philosophy at Georgetown and has never heard of the concept of the harrowing of hell. not to go full "le west has fallen" but how can you understand anything related to the western canon if you don't have a basic grasp on Christianity

A professor I know of religion told me its getting worse and worse. 10 years ago college students knew the bare essentials, 12 apostles, 4 gospels etc. Last year he told me a girl asked "where is Jesus buried?"

honestly, he says in his bio that he focuses on antisemitism and political philosophy, but how can you understand the last 1500 years of either without a very strong grasp on Christian theology and church history
