So with the emergence of Shoigu visiting the front lines, footage of the wreckage of the planes of VVS, it is becoming more and more clear that this mutiny, was in fact genuine. But the main thing speaking against this being a psyop is the fact that Chechen forces were the first
to be called upon to squash this treachery by having all their troops be flown in to Moscow to meet the pmc's forces, and this for a good reason.
There is a lot of unfinished business and bad blood from the Chechen wars. While a majority in the regular RUA have moved on from the
memories of that war, the PMC and camp Utkin/Prigozhin/Rusich has not. You see, despite the west calling the PMC a nazi organization, the PMC recruits from any background, except ethnic Chechens, a courtesy of Utkin and him refusing to let bygones be bygones. Although it can also
be said that there are many Chechen veterans or soldiers who lost their parents in the Chechen wars, who don't hold a lot of love for Russians either, but they are strictly loyal to Kadyrov who is doing his best to be a Russian statesman and work towards a common goal (defeat UA)
As we saw during this coup attempt, a lot of regulars from RUA were indifferent or simply switched sides because for them it was Russian against Russian, which is why the pmc could move unhindered for so long inside Russia. But had the PMC reached the Chechen defence in Moscow,
you can bet that Kadyrovs men would have no qualms about slaughtering the entire PMC, especially after Utkins comments about having killed Chechens in two wars and asking for a third round.
You can call them tik tokers all you want but the fact remains that most of Kadyrovs
troops have been conducting ATO in the Caucasus for almost 20 years and most of their troops have combat experience from Ukraine itself, add to that they would most likely have the support of RF VVS after what the PMC did to them, and it would end in an utter bloodbath with the
result being of the PMC being wiped out.
Of course MOD is very well aware of these facts, which is why the Chechens were the first ones to be called in and a large amount of RU VVS transport planes were redirected to Chechnya in order to transport them to Moscow. But luckily,
this was all avoided in the end.
Now what really happened to stop the coup attempt is open speculation. Some think it was a psyop so that the PMC could relocate their troops to Belarus and threaten kiev with a possible invasion from that direction, but if the best of the best
from RUA with the full might of the army, navy and air force had issues holding on to kiev, it is highly doubtful that a pmc with a measly 25k personnel and much less equipment would fair any better.
British intelligence claims that the families of the PMC were threatened during
the coup attempt which made Prigozhin stop and negotiate for an exit. The only thing we have on this theory is the fact that Kadyrov had information on Prigozhins daughter and her personal affairs which he outlined in a statement which might or might not have been a subtle threat
, but other than that, there is nothing to confirm this statement.
Personal opinion: The article that came out that the US expected a lot more bloodshed and Prigozhin uttering kiev's talking points prior to the coup attempt was kind of telling. Most likely Prigozhin had foreign
intelligence backing him and gave him a rather large parachute (money) to do what he did but in the end it didn't work out and Prigozhin negotiated an exit deal guaranteeing his safety.
So far, there is not much info coming out from Kremlin or MOD to make sense of the events
that transpired, but instead, everything is ongoing as if nothing happened. The fact that nothing appeared to have changed within Ru MOD and hardliners openly calling for a bullet to the head for Prigozhin and Utkin makes the coup attempt appear very genuine and the damage it
caused to Russia on all spectrum's, is irrevocable.
But who knows, maybe I end up looking like bozo for writing this and it was all a 5D gigabrain chess that cost Russia the lives of 13 pilots, and political prestige on the international stage.
