“The Comfort Zone by Kristen Butler”
A paradigm-shifting read that challenges our perception of comfort zone – instead, shows us that it is the place where our truest source of growth, creativity, possibility and joy lives.
10 lessons from the book 🧵
1) The two types of success people:
- The happy, successful people who were thriving and genuinely fulfilled.
- The stressed, overworked successful people who were sacrificing everything.
2) Your life responds to the clarity of your decisions.
The more intentional you are about the decisions and declarations that you make, the more quickly and easily you will see their results echoed in your life.
3) Boundaries are Healthy:
Boundaries are the preferences you hold that help you protect yourself from the outside world.
These preferences are not just limited to your relationship with people, they can include events, ideas, stories, points of view and even things.
4) Gratitude is an attitude.
It requires a willingness to look at the world and notice the good and the positive. Like anything else you do, gratitude is also a muscle.
The more you notice things to appreciate, the more things you find to appreciate.
5) Give yourself credit for how courageous you have been, how courageous you are right now, and how courageous you can still be to live the life you desire.
6) The size of your Comfort Zone is like the rings on a tree trunk.
As your Comfort Zone grows, you become like a mature tree with dozens if not hundreds of rings. Your roots dig deeper into the earth, and your branches reach higher into the sky.
7) Emotions can be messy, but they are what makes us human beings. When you master the art of identifying, understanding, and navigating your emotions, they become your biggest asset in this physical reality.
Use Emotions to Stay in your Comfort Zone.
8) The RARE Method:
9) Create Inner Balance with a Power Stance:
-Everything is always working out for me
-Uncertainty means possibility
-Divine energy has my back
-This, too, shall pass
-I am always supported
-What I’ve asked for is on its way to me
-If there’s a problem, there’s a solution
10) Living life to the fullest and leveling up is about trying new things, taking chances, having fun and being okay with making mistakes along the way.
As long as you are enjoying the journey and learning from the process, you can't go wrong.
