The most forgotten part of your fitness routine:
The feet.
They’re the missing link to high performance (and injury prevention)
Here are 10 simple exercises to strengthen your feet:
🔷 Big Toe Flexion (Banded)
• Loop band around the big toe
• Flex your big toe down against the band
🔷 Toe Splay & Squeeze
• Spread toes outward and hold
• Squeeze toes back inward and hold
🔷 Calf Raises with Towel Grab
• Place towel under feet
• As you rise grab the towel with your toes
• Return down slowly and in control
• Single leg for an added challenge
🔷 Plantar Arch Raises
• Scrunch feet grabbing the carpet
• Rotate feet outward (raising arches)
• Lean bodyweight forward to increase difficulty
🔷 Toe Towel Grab
• Grab and pull a towel with your toes
• Single leg for an added challenge
🔷 Kneel with Toes Tucked
• Kneel with toes tucked onto the ground
• Sit back slowly onto your heels for 5-10 seconds
🔷 Toe Pick Up Object
• Pick up a small object using your toes
• Hold for 5-10 seconds
🔷 Tib Raises
• Lean back against a wall
• Pull toes up and toward your body
• Build to single leg for an added challenge
• Move feet farther away from the wall to increase difficulty
🔷 Ankle ABC's
• Write out each letter of the alphabet with your feet
