As a country we need better good will from our leadership to ensure that good nutrition which is the key to preventing so many diseases is safe guarded. This includes making sure multinational corporations adhere to international standards of nutrition and dietetics.
Nutritional value and content labels should be on all food products especially those consumed by children. Civic education on good nutrition and healthy eating practices is key. FYI @MOH_Kenya Department of Nutrition has 0 budget from @TreasuryKe 🤯
Just for context high calories dense (sugar) is also present in very many food products on the shelves so it would be unfair to single out just Nestle for those in Kenya. Cornflakes, Rice cereals, chocolate cereals, Weetbix cereals etc all have high sugar! Uji and oats💪🏿
