How I built a 7-figure business
Using FREE traffic.
You can do the same even if you have 0 followers:
We all started from 0.
The accounts that flood your bookmarks, the ones you retweet daily
They all started from 0.
You will see some of them publicly show how much money they've made off a product launch
$180k, $250k, $400k
Sounds impossible until you realize (yes ill say it again), they started from 0
This is only possible through building a loyal follower base by becoming an authority.
Listen to me now. This is the only twitter growth guide you need
Most growth guides are useless because they attract "platitude followers" these are the tire kickers of the world. They act motivated but that's as far as most would go
You'd rather of 10k loyal followers than 120k followers that don't buy from you.
This thread will teach you how to build an audience where each new follower you get is worth about $2 instead of $.2
First things first - fuck your algorithm excuses
I see small accounts telling me how the algorithm works. Saying what I know is wrong. Don't make me laugh,
Twitter isn't about manipulating the algorithm to work in your favor
This place is about following a consistent structure on a daily basis while being genuine
Let's begin with the strategies
1. Understanding Metas & Narratives
In video games, we call these "metas", they are the agreed upon winning strategies in the game at a specific time
Metas change always. Drill this into your skull. What worked 2 years ago does not work today
2 years ago you would notice spaced out tweets with shallow value or basic strategies
1 year ago you would notice 1 to 2 line tweets with broad ambiguous info
Today you see threads, opinionated and journey tweets take full control
2. Starting from 0
If you have experience in business or a specialists mind in a specific field, your growth process has become 10x easier
Your primary objective is to create a list of topics you will be writing about
For me it's
- business experiences
- failures and lessons
- opinions on how to do things in business
- eCommerce and running an agency
- strategies and tactics
Each of these topics, I can create a list of 20 thread ideas.
"I've done x in the past y years, here's how you can do the same"
"If I were x, here's how I'd do y"
"I've accomplished A without B and now I can do C"
These are thread topics, they build curiosity, show credibility and get people excited to read.
Other thread ideas include series e.x if I was running ads for brand x, here's how I'd do it
Then I'd replace the brand x with new brands weekly
3. Before you start tweeting
Tweeting with no followers will waste your content and threads. You'll be tweeting to a brick wall
Here's what I recommend, create your account, post only 1 thread, pin it, and start networking.
Actually f the term networking, start making friends
Go out of your way, find smaller accounts who are attempting to do the same thing as you, slide in their dms and begin chatting
There are over 200 people I've helped on twitter in the dms in the first few months
Because of this I was able to get massive names give me shoutouts and boost my followers
I purposely gave way more than I received and it's how I built my credibility
4. Don't start promoting right away
I didn't promote for a few months. My real first offer was theUtopia.io which was 4 months after my account
I also had some courses and an agency but I wasn't a fan of them so I ended them early
You dont want to associate your account immediately with promotions
All that should matter to you is building a solid foundation of followers
Then take these followers and add them to an email list
5. Let's talk money (your offer)
Now that the growth is on autopilot, your objective is to define your offer
Are you an agency? Freelancer? Consultsnt? seling a course?
Whatever it may be, stick to one offer and create a hype campaign around it
7 days hype campaign
2 days of tweets where you poke your audience with pain points
5 days of hyping your offer up
Then go live and give your audience a unique discount code for the first 3 days of the launch
Get people to your email list and boom you now have a new source of income
6. Your offer schedule
You cannot post your links all around the clock
You need to have a structure behind your offers so you don't lower the value of your brand
Here's what I do
7. Collabs
For some reason, this topic gets no love on twitter but it has boosted my revenue by nearly 20%
Once your account has traction, start leveraging cross-promotions with other peoples email lists on Twitter
Email feature for email feature
Create a calendar for this and make sure to have at least 15 going on during the month
Each of those days you will see a significant revenue boost
And the best part? Since you have an email list, you don't have to pay them
It's a smooth exchange of value
8. Leveraging Micro Communities
This side of Twitter is one massive community,
There are other communities like Theutopia.io with 3000 members from this side of twitter
Post your threads inside there once a week & work a deal to get your product promoted inside
9. Scaling
Now its time to expand your traffic beyond just twitter by hiring
Use your twitter account to
> Open a telegram channel and post inside of it once a day
> Leverage other communities
> Do more collabs
> Grow your email list
10. Expectations
If your product has immense value, if the user experience is glorious and your offer is irresistible, you will be unstoppable
There is only so much I can put in a thread
I have broken down every single strategy here in theutopia.io
There are hundreds of people implementing these strategies and now closing massive deals (even at the age of 17)
