Avoid these 6 gym mistakes if you want to build muscle in the next 180 days...
1. Eating a large meal before a workout
Digestion draws in a lot of energy which affects your performance
Eat 2-3 hours before you work out.
Food with high-fat content or eating a large amount of food takes longer to digest.
2. Drinking excessive coffee or pre-workout before hitting the gym
Caffeine produces stomach aches for it is a natural laxative
For pre-workout, take the recommended dosage.
Limit your intake for less gym complications
3. Stretching before lifting
Static stretches before working out have negative muscle performance
If you do decide to;
β€’ Aim for dynamic stretches
Dynamic stretches don’t affect your performance
β€’ Do static stretches ONLY after your workout to relax the muscle.
4. Performing cardio before lifting weights
Glucose is the main source of energy that your body uses to lift weight
Cardio burns most of your glucose; much needed for performance
Do cardio at the end of the weight training
5. Drinking too much water before or even during a workout
You may experience cramps during your workouts, affecting your performance
Take at least 2 gulps of water in between your sets
