1. Myth: Cardio is the best way to lose weight.
Truth: Cardio, along with strength training and a balanced diet, yields optimal results for weight loss.
2. Myth: You can target fat loss in specific areas.
Truth: Spot reduction is a myth.
Overall fat loss occurs by burning more calories than you consume.
But you canโ€™t spot reduce fat.
3. Myth: Eating fat makes you fat/carbs are the enemy when it comes to weight loss.
Truth: You can eat fat, protein, carbs, in whatever quantity you want, as long as you donโ€™t consume more calories than you burn, and youโ€™ll still lose weight.
4. Myth: You can out-exercise a bad diet.
Truth: You can out eat 3 hours worth of exercise in 30 minutes, pretty easily.
Also, fixing your eating habits is a lot easier than spending all day exercising.
5. Myth: Eating small, frequent meals boosts metabolism.
Truth: Meal frequency doesn't significantly impact metabolism.
The quality and quantity of the calories matter way more than the timing.
6. Myth: You can't lose weight if you have a slow metabolism.
Truth: You are NOT beyond biology and physics.
If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight.
7. Myth: Supplements alone can lead to significant weight loss.
Truth: Only once your diet and exercise routine are solid, should you even start thinking about supplements.
And even then supplements donโ€™t make that big of a difference.
8. Myth: Weight loss is all about willpower.
Truth: If you have cookies within arms reach, youโ€™ll eat cookies.

Healthy eating is way more about your set up than your willpower.

Truth: Although less sugar is generally better, you donโ€™t need to completely sacrifice sugar to lose weight.

Truth: Metabolism isn't significantly affected by meal timing.
