If you're targeting a "solution-aware" audience,Β compare your product to competitors/alternatives
This may be common sense but its not common practice, but you need to:
β call them out βNo matter what I did, my 2 year old kid can never sleep through the nightβ
β make sure creator fit the target demo (gender, age, race, etc.).
You do this through people shown in the ad, and the environment
Example for a weight loss product:
βΒ Obese woman on the couch eating fast food
β Β Fit woman working out in the gym or preparing healthy food in the kitchen
The customers only care about themselves, so make it all about them.
Hit and aggravate pain points earlier on, andΒ then pivot to the benefitsΒ that position your product as the ultimate solution.
make it crystal clear how the productΒ fulfils their desires:
β demonstration
β testimonials,
β visual walkthroughs
Example:Β For a blender, show the process of making a smoothie, not just a product shot of it sitting on a counter
address them upfrontΒ in your ad to build trust and confidence through:
β price anchoring
β testimonials and case studies
β clear guarantees
β demonstrations
β unique mechanisms
Every second of your ad should either connect with your audience or advance the narrative.
Eliminate anything irrelevantβno fluff, no filler
You wanβt to avoid long introductions or unnecessary explanations.Β Get to the point fast.
For younger audiences,Β quick cutsΒ andΒ high-energy pacingΒ might work better
For more mature consumers, aΒ slower paceΒ might be needed to make it easier for them to read, digest and understand what youβre trying to convey
Less is more.Β People are scrolling fast.
YourΒ text overlaysΒ should beΒ brief, impactful, and easy to read within seconds.
Long paragraphs or convoluted messaging willΒ lose attentionΒ before the viewer gets to the core value.
