Sweating has nothing to do with fat loss. You can lose WEIGHT by sweating, but it's just water weight. As soon as you rehydrate, it will be back. Sweating doesn't tell you anything other than your body was trying to cool itself down.

Afraid not. You can't see your abs because you've got fat covering them. You've got to lose the fat, and ab exercises won't do that.

The only thing that makes you fat is providing more energy than your body can use. You can eat high carb, high fat, enjoy some junk from time to time, and you won't gain fat if you don't have a surplus of energy.
