Below are the 9 "ready-to-go" snacks I eat almost every day to stay lean 365 days a year:
Before we jump into it I want to say ONE thing:
Convenience is KEY.
The reason people opt for unhealthy snacks like Poptarts and chips is it takes 3 seconds to grab one and start eating
When you discover how to do this with healthy foods, your life changes.
Let's begin:
1. Safe Catch Tuna or Salmon
I'll be the first to say I HATE canned seafood.
But this brand is phenomenal.
- High-quality brand
- No skin or bones
- Tastes great
- 40g of protein
- 165 calories
I eat one almost daily.
2. Pillars Greek Yogurt
This is one of highest protein foods I've see under 300 calories.
Drink the whole 32oz's for 280 calories and 60g of protein
Or a 12oz drink for 100 calories and 20g of protein.
I'm obsessed with these.
3. Oikos Pro Greek Yogurt
Another convenient low-cal/high-protein snack that tastes great.
While others are eating pastries and cereal as their "healthly" breakfast, you'll be getting more protein for fewer calories with one of these.
(I buy 1-2 weeks worth at a time)
4. Hard Boiled Eggs
These are great because they give you all the nutritional value of fried eggs, but are more convenient.
You can make a ton of these at a time and stash them for an entire week in your fridge.
Another great high-protein snack that'll curb your appetite.
5. Good Culture Cottage Cheese
These are a new discovery for me and I'm pissed I didn't know about them sooner
Despite never being big on cottage cheese, this brand uses great ingredients and the taste/texture is addicting.
I'd eat 10 of them daily if I could.
6. Jocko Protein Shakes
I like the Jocko shakes better than others because they use fewer ingredients and use Monk Fruit as a sweetener rather than Sucralose
(Sucralose has a harsher effect on your gut microbiome)
Premade shakes like these are a necessity.
7. Organic Fruit
Apples, pineapple, blueberries, etc..
Fruit tastes good for a reason: IT’S GOOD FOR YOU.
That being said, buy organic if you can. Non-organic produce is grown using artificial pesticides leading to a ton of health issues
8. Shrimp
Most people have NO idea how high in protein shrimp is.
Every 100 calories is 23g of protein.
This is an amazing snack because it'll smash your cravings and keep you full while helping you lean out.
9. New Primal Beef Thins
Who doesn't love some Grass-Fed Jerky??
- 13g of protein and just 90 calories
A great addition to your new snack arsenal, significantly better for you than most of the snacks you've been eating
