Americans must take note of what's happening in Japan.
• Obesity rate –– 3% (ours is 40%)
• Street drains –– so clean they keep koi carp in them
• Infrastructure –– looks like art
What do they do differently?
They Japanese live with intention... (thread) 🧵
The obesity rate tells you everything. Japan: 3%. America: 40%.
There’s no secret sauce. They eat real food and walk places. No fad diets needed. No paleo, no carnivore, no keto. Just mindful eating.
But that's just the beginning…
Even their hospital food looks like a 5-star restaurant meal. Steak, fresh vegetables, real rice.
Makes you question what we accept as "normal" in our hospitals.
Here's the wild part: their attention to detail extends everywhere.
Their street drains are so clean they keep koi fish in them. Not in tanks. In actual street canals.
Each manhole cover is a unique piece of art.
Their bullet trains are so smooth you can balance a coin on its side while moving at 200mph.
They design entire landscapes and architecture around cherry blossoms. Every window becomes a frame for nature's art.
They're playing chess while we're playing checkers with their urban planning:
• Streets clean enough to eat off
• Cherry blossom medians between highways
• Infrastructure that looks like art
They care about future generations so much they left tsunami warning stones. Centuries-old markers saying "Don't build below this point."
They preserve thousand-year temples, even their roads are built with intention that elevate the spirit.
Meanwhile Americans destroy historic buildings and monuments, to put up soulless grey slop and fast food restaurants.
We spending our time consuming "wellness content" while they just... live well. Effortlessly.
Ancient wisdom hides in plain sight. Every culture holds pieces of the puzzle for better living. Drop us a follow if you agree!
