Here is how to scale a shopping campaign $100,000/mo revenue
/thread/
Successful shopping campaigns are built on 2 sets of foundations
Business Pillars
1) Conversion Rate Optimize Website
2) Brand Trust
Being a google ads guy, I won't focus on these first 2
PPC Pillars
1) Data Feed
2) Audience Tag
3) Proper Account Strategy
let's break em down
#1 - Data Feed
The basics of Data Feed optimization are these items
1. Title (TEST THESE)
2. Description
3. Main Image
4. Product Category (google list)
5. Product Type (you decide)
6. Product Identifiers (GTIN/UPC)
Secondary Attributes
1. Color
2. Size
3. Gender
4. Age
#2 - Audience Tag
When you have an optimized smart shopping campaign
50% of the campaign's goals are working towards "dynamic remarketing"
ie --> showing the exact product a potential customer was looking at
here is how you set it up:
to do this you need to set up your "Google Ads Audience Tag"
make sure it's firing on all pages of your website
now let's make sure it's firing properly...
after you have data in the account...
go back to your audience tag and look for "ecomm_prodid"
this should be firing (usually 20-40% of the time due to firing only on product pages)
NOTE: if this isn't firing it's broken (and your campaigns will suffer)
#3 - Proper Account Strategy
I'll be breaking this down more in future threads since it's high-level
but the main thing you want to focus on with your ad spend budget is
properly creating "primary" campaigns
and "secondary" campaigns
why?
creating different types of campaigns will allow you to scale separate google channels independently
Here's an example (eComm store)
Main
> smart shopping @ $100-$1,000/day
Secondary
> dynamic remarketing (display)
> DSAxRLSA (bid modifiers)
> YouTube remarketing
focus on these 3 pillars when you're starting a shopping campaign and you'll be way ahead of your competitors
